Greater Than One
If you look at some of the greatest achievements of mankind, they were rarely achieved by a single individual. Often times, these incredible feats involved a team of specialists and experts, with skills all complementing each other in order to reach a common goal. The benefits of working in a team outnumber “rowing the boat alone” in too many ways to list. Instead of one mind working at a problem alone, you have a number of minds, creating a synergistic knowledge base and delegating tasks to work smarter and faster.
As the leader of a team of medical professionals, my wife’s motto is “greater than one.” In her world, she heads up a team of health professionals who are experts in their fields; occupational therapists, speech pathologists, etc. working in a collaborative way to provide services to patients and their families to help them deal with any related issues that they are facing.
As I reflected on my wife’s motto I recognized that we have a similar philosophy here. We have a group of professionals that are specialists in their respective value added fields; working together to provide an all-inclusive solution for our clients. Our specialties range from strategic planning expertise, superb client service, and institutional investment management.
Of course, many of you know how I feel about prospective clients who already, “have a guy.” But is that guy successfully dealing with all of the moving pieces of your financial plan? Is it possible that your one man team is trying to do too much? Would it be better for you and your family to have a team of financial professionals working on your behalf? We believe it would; history shows a team approach beats the individual approach almost every time… maybe it is time to arm yourself with a team that’s “greater than one.”
