Is Investing Risky and Complicated?

In our continuing series on the lies “THEY” tell us, the liar in this case is you. I had a meeting just last week where the subject of money (or lack thereof) came up. I asked what their investment strategy was and I was told investing is “too risky and too complicated.”

In my view, both of these are lies that people tell themselves. I’m not sure where the lie originated, but I do know Einstein is attributed with saying, “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it. Compound interest is the most powerful force in the world.”

To not take advantage of this powerful force borders on stupidity. If your mindset prevents you from investing because “it is risky,” I believe you’re really engaging in the more risky behavior. Let us at Gainplan know how we can help with your investing questions and prove to you that the risk is worth the reward.
