Some of our team members thrive in the competitive world of sports. Jeff finds time to lace up his skates and hit the ice three times a week, staying sharp both in the rink and in the office. Wayne, on the other hand, takes his leadership skills to the football field, coaching his hometown team to back-to-back championship appearances in the fall. And if it’s winter, you can bet Chad is enjoying one of his favorite seasonal sports—or even playing summer hockey with Jeff in an off-season league.

Meanwhile, our Business Development Specialist, Nick Pagano, takes a different approach to sports. If the weather is nice, don’t expect to find him in the office—he’s likely perfecting his swing on the golf course, making the most of Michigan’s beautiful summers.

Adventures, Music, and Fine Wine

Outside of work, our team has a wide range of hobbies and interests. Randy spends his weekends performing as a bass player at D’Mongo’s in downtown Detroit, keeping the crowd entertained on Friday and Saturday nights. Dave Martin, CFA, prefers a more refined pursuit—his passion for wine has led him to curate his own collection.

For those with a travel bug, Judy’s summer tradition includes two weeks in Alaska visiting her sister, a place she plans to call home in retirement. And Patrick recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Ireland, an adventure he highly recommends for anyone looking for their next travel destination.

Balancing Work, Family, and Fandom

Our team is dedicated to their families just as much as their careers. Thad, a master of multitasking, somehow finds time between financial planning and raising five children. Meanwhile, Helen, the youngest member of our team, is balancing her final year at Oakland University while working as a full-time summer intern at Gainplan.

And if you’re looking for a passionate sports fan, look no further than Nicole Standen. As a die-hard Oakland Raiders supporter, she’s not shy about her loyalty—just don’t bring up the New England Patriots or the team’s impending move to Las Vegas unless you’re ready for a heated debate!
