Meet the Team: Ben Klamo

Ever since he was a child, Ben has been interested in the world of investments. He purchased his first stock at the age of 12! After completing his undergraduate at the University of Michigan, Ben continued on to Wayne State to obtain his MBA. Once he graduated from Wayne State, Ben knew he wanted to pursue his love for investments and financial markets. Years of investment experience have taught Ben the hardest part of his job is having patience. His work requires the forbearance to let the markets play out in order to see the opportunities available. This patience has made Ben an invaluable part of Gainplan’s investment committee – alongside Dave Martin and Jeff Ivory. Ben is always eager to find out what each day holds in terms of market opportunity and risk and this mentality serves our clients well.

Believe it or not, Ben does have a life outside of investing. He and his wife Melissa have two baby boys and dream of returning to St. Lucia, where they honeymooned, for a well-deserved vacation. When asked what he would be doing with his days if he had not fallen in love with the markets, Ben quickly answered, “I would have gone into professional golf management and become a club pro.” This is not too surprising, due to the endless devotion and patience required by both the game of golf and the financial markets. So, if you ever need to fill your foursome and want to know more about the financial markets, give Ben a call!

Tune in next month to learn what makes the next Gainplanner tick!
